The company operates its own online shop and has stores in Münster, Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne, and Munich. CHALLENGE

Our partnership with Villa Sophie began in early 2021, shortly after the label parted ways with a previous performance marketing agency. Despite a rapid increase in sales and growing demand, Villa Sophie faced profit declines due to excessive spending on their social media campaigns.

APPROACH

Rapidly growing brands require meticulous cost control, taking into account factors such as cost of goods sold, return rates, shipping costs, and other variable expenses. Our collaboration started with the creation of break-even calculations and the establishment of target benchmarks to ensure Villa Sophie’s sustained growth while improving profit margins.

We implemented a multi-channel data dashboard, which continues to be a vital tool today. This dashboard allows us to track daily online store sales in relation to advertising costs and calculate daily profits based on contribution margins 2 and 3.

Instead of following the common social performance strategy of running generic ads on social media, we take a targeted approach by testing and scaling individual SKUs. Product ads that do not meet the established performance benchmarks are promptly deactivated, while profitable products are reproduced and scaled throughout the season.

Since the beginning of our collaboration, Villa Sophie has utilized our high-quality product photography to optimally showcase their items in their online store. Samples from each new collection are sent to our Cologne office, where our team professionally photographs all product variants.

Villa Sophie combines model shots from their lookbook sessions with our meticulously detailed product images. The result is a cohesive and visually appealing presentation of their collections online.

Since 2021, we have closely collaborated with Villa Sophie to create, publish, evaluate, and optimize over 4,200 ads. These extensive tests range from ad formats and copywriting to layouts and overlays.

Social media trends come and go quickly. Ad formats and creatives that drive significant revenue today may become oversaturated and lose effectiveness tomorrow. Through continuous A/B testing, we ensure that the cost per click remains as low as possible, keeping a steady stream of new customers flowing to the online store.

Each collection from Villa Sophie launches with an average of 50 to 100 new SKUs. To identify the products with the highest revenue potential early in the season, we employ specialized 'Product Testing Campaigns,' where paid performance and business intelligence data converge.

These so-called "Early Market Tests" allow us to analyze specific performance data for each product, identify the need for additional content, make necessary inventory adjustments, and strategically scale online sales.
